The wait is over!  Sand & Sea Limited Edition Beach Sessions will be held…………………………………

SATURDAY AND SUNDAY, SEPTEMBER 17-18

A day of sweet memories – captured forever. Imagine your family, enjoying a beautiful day in the warm sand of a Texas beach…searching for shells, jumping the waves, or just relaxing in the sand.  What could be better?  How about having a professional photographer there to capture every splash and smile?  I love capturing the quiet, tender moments that tell the story of a family’s love, as well as the smiles of delight that will surely be in abundance at the beach!

Because sessions are limited, every session takes place during “sweet light”. Your portraits will have the soft, golden, glowy first light or last light of the day, the ideal light for outdoor photography.  You’ll have 40 minutes of shooting time available for your session.

Choose the collection that meets your needs. You’ll have 10-12 edited images from your time at the beach, perfectly capturing your family’s personality, from which to choose your portrait selections.  Take your choice of three portrait collections designed especially for the Sand & Sea sessions.  Every session includes low-res files of each image ordered. Additional heirloom-quality portrait products are available should you choose to upgrade to a stunning canvas wrap or gorgeous framed print. A special selection of coastal-themed, custom holiday cards are available too!

Windward: One 16×20 mounted wall print and one gift print (8×10 or smaller)

Leeward: Five gift  prints (8×10 or smaller)  – all prints are delivered with a beautiful textured finish

Running Free: Three high-resolution files with print release (delivered on CD with a print lab recommendation)

Your session will provide you with priceless images AND will help provide clean water in Ethiopia. For every Sand & Sea session booked, I will donate $25 in the client’s honor to Water to Thrive, a faith-based organization that is constructing wells in rural Ethiopia, where many remote villages sit atop a water source but have no resources to access it.  I just can’t stand the thought that 1 in 6 people worldwide do not have access to clean water.

Ready to secure your Sand & Sea session? Only six spots are left.  Call (713-419-3884) or email me (info@amandafaucettphotography.com) now to reserve your session.  See you at the beach!

What a whirlwind week – up at 6:30 a.m., in bed after midnight, go, go, go…all in the name of teaching and learning with high school students and adults at the Disciple Project this week.  Held two out of every three years, the Disciple Project is a diverse, cross-generational, outwardly-focused Christian leadership school that offers students and adults alike the opportunity to explore and expand  their gifts and passions in the context of ministry for the benefit of others.  I co-taught a learning track titled Photography 101 in which participants learned how to control their cameras to achieve the shots THEY wanted to take, rather than letting the camera make all the decisions.  They also learned some of the basic principles of design.  One participant said “I am seeing the world in a whole new way now, seeing things I never saw before!”  Our week wrapped up with our track participants writing a plan for a Photography Mission Project to execute once they return home – they were invited to consider some issue or situation in their community that they may be able to call attention to through their photography.  I can’t wait to hear back from these awesome folks to find out how their projects turn out.

We had large prints made – one image for each person in the track – to share with the larger community at our closing worship service on Thursday afternoon.  Here are the photos chosen by the participants to print.  Each person really made huge strides during the week and I could not be more proud of their accomplishments.  I should also mention that we had participants from three states –  two students who just completed 7th grade, two who just finished 8th,  three who just completed 9th grade, one who just completed 11th grade, and four adults.  It was awesome.  🙂
